Real Madrid have climbed up to third position in LaLiga, following a 3-1 win over Leganes in their game in hand.

Cristiano Ronaldo was rested for the game, while Gareth Bale was named on the bench.

Leganes took a surprise lead when Unai Bustinza scrambled in, but Real quickly levelled through Lucas Vasquez.

Casemiro then put Zinedine Zidane’s side ahead before Sergio Ramos converted a late penalty.

Real have won their last four games in a row and now have 48 points from 24 games.

The champions trail leaders Barcelona by 14 points.
